JailHost
Understand what exactly ‘JailHost’ signifies. Identify the advantages of enabling this feature for your hosted domains.
In case you host multiple sites within the same account and one of them gets hacked, it is more than likely that all of them will get hacked after that. There're various reasons why this may happen, the two most common are: using really weak passwords or using older scripts with well-known weaknesses. In this way, one single compromised site can do a lot of damage to all your Internet sites, since gaining access to one script generally allows hackers to access the Internet hosting account. This is the reason why we've developed an innovative security option named JailHost. Once enabled, this option will literally lock a website within its folder, so if an attacker takes over it, the remaining Internet sites in the account will remain hidden. Thus they will be protected from further intrusion. The JailHost option does not mean that you should not keep your Internet sites updated, but it'll significantly reduce the damage.
JailHost in Cloud Website Hosting
You can take advantage of JailHost with each and every cloud website hosting plan that we offer and protect your sites against attacks quick and easy. Each domain and subdomain in the Hepsia Control Panel that comes with our packages has a separate folder and contrary to what can often happen with some other Control Panels, the website content isn't mixed inside a single main folder, so maintaining your sites separate is rather easy. Activating JailHost for any Internet site takes just a couple of clicks, so even if you don't have a lot of experience, you will not need any special skills to be able to maintain your sites protected. The option isn't active by default in case that you intend to use some script that requires accessibility to another folder in your account. If you use JailHost, the rest of the sites that you have will be protected, but even a hacked one will not remain damaged for too long as we will have a couple of daily backups for it all of the time, so that we can quickly recover it.
