SSD with Data Caching
See how your sites will have noticeably better performance on a hosting server, provided with SSDs with Data Caching.
A solid-state drive (SSD) improves the performance of each app running on it in comparison with a classic hard-disk drive (HDD). The reason is that a solid-state drive uses multiple interconnected flash memory modules, so there are no physical parts to move. In contrast, an HDD works by using spinning disks and any reading or writing process causes the disks to rotate, so the speed of an HDD is limited. Because the prices of the two kinds of drives also differ, numerous computer systems and web servers are set up with an SSD for the OS and various applications, and a hard disk for data storage, in this way balancing price and performance. A web hosting provider can also use an SSD for caching purposes, so files which are used regularly will be saved on such a drive for reaching improved loading speeds and for limiting the reading/writing processes on the hard-disk drives.
SSD with Data Caching in Cloud Website Hosting
If you host your sites in a cloud website hosting account with us, you will notice their fantastic performance. The reason is that our cloud platform uses exclusively SSD drives for all the files, emails and databases and we don't use HDDs for any part of the hosting service. In addition to the leading-edge ZFS file system, this configuration will raise the speed of your Internet sites substantially. For load-balancing, we also use a number of SSDs for caching purposes only. All content which generates more traffic or creates lots of reading/writing processes is copied on them automatically, so that the load on the main drives will be reduced, thus the overall performance of all sites hosted with us will improve. The latter in turn prolongs the life of the primary drives and lessens the chance of a disk failure, that is a further warranty for the integrity of all content which you upload to your account.
